Tutorial 1

This tutorial shows 4 different techniques to explore :

• using the selection tools
• compositing techniques of 3 different files
• use the transform tool
• apply basic efx using filter

Learning Outcome :
basic understanding of photoshop tools and features of using the skills of selections and controlling the tools by using shortcut key and image size handling and using the Save as option to save the image.

Step that i use for this tutorial :

1)Drag down the starfish from the archive and duplicate it. Adjust the size using free transform to make the depth of field more obvious

2)Apply Gaussian blur to show great depth of field and put radial blur to show that the starfish is falling down from the sky.Then,using the free transform tool, distort the tv accordingly to the wall.Apply shadow and play around with opacity.


3)Lastly,use the marquee tool to make the shape of the shadow and fill it in with black color. Apply mask layer to let the black color appear on the plasma tv and soften the edges.This will make the shadow drop from the tall building to the plasma tv.
